I will dominate 'legitimate fighter' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-round contest which will be broadcast in real-time on the streaming platform.

British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the pair confronted each other to build hype for next month's boxing match.

Former two-time unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami arena on 19 December.

Fighter's Attitude

"I plan to break his face and damage his physique. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35, stated.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.

"I'm going to really want to injure him. That's my intention."

Respectful Interaction

In spite of such comments, a composed Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - typically recognized for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.

Jake Paul rather criticized former Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and described him as "a joke" after the Cameroonian declined a bout proposal.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at UK opponent Tyson Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul win.

"Jake Paul outshines Fury - he showed up," Joshua said.

"I acknowledge that."

Legitimate Opponent

In spite of stating he plans to damage his opponent, Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his rival's boxing ability.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.

Paul's History

Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mostly fought MMA fighters or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.

He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.

Commercial Success

However, the relative newcomer is still one of the sport's greatest money-making draws, consistently making substantial financial rewards.

Prediction and Belief

The 28 year old anticipated a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would prevent the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently under discussion for 2026.

"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul stated.

Size Difference

As both boxers met for the customary stare-down, with their height and weight contrast evident, it emphasized just how unlikely this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the fight is truly proceeding.
