A teenage boy has been punished to life behind bars with a minimum period of sixteen years for the murder of other student Harvey Willgoose during a lunch break.

The perpetrator pierced the deceased, also aged 15 years old, through the heart with a weapon at the city's educational institution in the second month.

The judge lifted the identity protection limitation on the perpetrator during the punishment phase at the courthouse.

Caroline Willgoose remarked she was pleased the minimum term had been set higher than the legal minimum of 15-year period.

"My father has been receiving cancer treatment through the court proceedings and he just couldn't persist any further," she said.

Before the murder on February 3rd, Khan and Harvey had taken opposite positions in a separate conflict between other pupils.

Security footage from the day of the knife attack displayed the perpetrator coming near the victim in the school yard shortly after lunchtime.

Bystanders described a scene of "disorder", with individuals "scattering, screaming throughout" during the aggressive incident.

Judicial Proceedings

During the legal proceedings, Khan stated he had not intended to kill the victim or cause him serious harm, stating he could not recollect what had happened.

The prosecution countered that he had "desired to show he was formidable" and "knew exactly what he was doing".

"You served as the instigator and... you acted in pain and rage at what you regarded to be his treachery of your bond," declared the judge during sentencing.

Consequences

All Saints Catholic High School published a message expressing that the student was "dearly remembered every day by the complete school community".

Investigators emphasized the devastating consequences of bearing weapons, observing that a "momentary action" can irreversibly change various existences.
